NVcargo UK is a freight forwarding and logistics provider offering a wide range of transport services in the UK, EU and China. With fast growing and expending, we are looking for a Junior Accounts Assistant with Xero to join our team based in SW London - New Malden.
Job description
This is an all-round role which will give you great exposure to several areas across the business. The duties of this position encompass all aspects of our accounting operation including purchase and sales ledger management, payments to domestic and international partners and inter-company reconciliation, bank reconciliations, liaising with HMRC, and other admin work around office.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities including but not limited
Inputting supplier invoices accurately and select the appropriate accounting codes on Xero system
Daily Bank reconciliations
Management of General Ledger for all Freight contracts including end of month close out
Ensure timely and accurate processing and payment of supplier provisions/invoices in the most cost-efficient manner
Answering internal and external phone calls
Replying customers' queries via email and WeChat
Photocopying, filling, and other administrative duties.
Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure best practice
Ensure the VAT rate has been posted correctly
Providing appropriate analysis and recommendations to influence key decisions and business development
The Successful Applicant
Great understanding and ability to use basic Excel, Word, email, and internet. You will naturally be very organised and have a keen eye for detail.
Good knowledge of using excel (including pivotable, VLOOKUP)
Excellent knowledge of accounting processes
Either relevant financial qualifications (AAT / Accounting Degree, at least 2:1 etc.), ACCA training towards them or be qualified by experience
Freight forwarding background preferable
Mandarin Chinese speaking desirable
Be eligible to work in the UK
